During the fourth day of the Senate impeachment trial, New York Democrat Jerry Nadler called President Trump a “dicator”.
He said Trump “is a dictator. This must not stand. That is another reason he must be removed from office."
The reason he’s a dictator: because Trump flouted a congressional subpoena by refusing to hand over documents citing executive privilege which is exactly what past administration did.
He argued that not impeaching Trump would endanger the ability of Congress to check the power of the presidency, saying “he is the first and only president ever to declare himself unaccountable and to ignore subpoenas backed by the Constitution's impeachment power."
As PJ Media’s Tyler O’Neil writes “So, by Nadler's reasoning, William Jefferson Clinton was a "dictator." Perhaps even Barack Obama was a "dictator" because his "wingman" Eric Holder flouted congressional subpoenas — an assertion of executive privilege that Nadler himself backed at the time! Is Jerry Nadler an enabler of dictators?”
