Najee Harris Makes 9-Hour Drive To Alabama Pro Day Amid Flight Cancellation

Najee Harris wouldn't miss Alabama's Pro Day for the world.

The running back drove nine hours from Dallas, Texas to Tuscaloosa after his Dallas-Birmingham flight was cancelled due to lightning, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Harris made it a point to be in attendance to support his Crimson Tide teammates who aimed to improve their stock in the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft.

"Alabama RB Najee Harris’ flight from Dallas to Birmingham was cancelled last night due to lightning, so with no other travel options available, Harris drove nine hours to make it to Alabama’s Pro Day by 10 am today. He’s not even working out today but wanted to support teammates," Schefter tweeted.

Alabama's Pro Day will be televised live on SEC Network Tuesday (March 23) at 12:00 p.m. EST/11:00 a.m. CST.

Harris, who ranked as the No. 1 running back and No. 2 overall prospect for the 2017 national recruiting cycle, is projected by many to be the top running back prospect in the upcoming draft, meaning it wasn't necessary for him to compete in Alabama's Pro Day.

Still, the loyalty and support for his teammates shown my making the nine-hour trip should be something that impresses NFL scouts leading up to next month's draft.
